Qualified 1983. Partner with Simpson & Marwick from 2004.

Sandy has specialised in employment law throughout his career, and has been accredited as an Employment Law Specialist by the Law Society of Scotland since 1995. He advises on all aspects of employment law, particularly in relation to the offshore oil industry and further and higher education, and has particular expertise in TUPE, the working time directive and all aspects of unfair dismissal. Sandy has lectured for the Law Society of Scotland and others on various aspects of employment law and on negotiation. He has appeared in Tribunals throughout the UK, at the EAT in Edinburgh and London and has had cases before the Inner House of the Court of Session and the Court of Appeal.
