Lynne qualified as a solicitor in 2001, and as a solicitor advocate in 2009.   She is the first female in Simpson & Marwick’s history to obtain extended rights of audience.  She has extensive experience as a court litigator, having appeared on numerous occasions in sheriff courts throughout Scotland in respect of both civil and criminal matters, and Fatal Accident Inquiries.   She has particular expertise in personal injury litigation appearing on behalf of clients in road traffic, workplace and local authority cases, and has acted for a number of companies via insurers in health and safety prosecutions.
